Thanks to mom & dad....I'll be racing Sunday at Moroso!!! The job is going good and I think old dad was feeling bad for me...lol. I tried not to let him pay for it, but he insisted. I am so stoked!!! Anybody that goes...please stop by and remind my parents how cool that was of them! :D I'll be there Sunday only, but that's WAY better than nothing. How awesome....my parents rule! See ya there!!!! ;D 8) :) ;) :D
yeah..parents are great..even though this shiot scares them to death..they fronted me the cash for a new machine..paid them back though :) That is why I thank them on the belly pan of my bike
Yeah...I'll be adding them to the old sponsor list. ;)
Any chance they are adopting?
My budget is looking ugly ;D
that is nice!! see ya at moroso...
wish my parents would hook me up :( cause the racing is getting pretty expensive. hopefully for next year i can land a few sponsors that can pick up some of the tab. ;D
Ya parents kick A$$ mine help me out and so does my grandparents they would rather see me race then ride on the street or go back to Motocross.
Yeah, it's really cool of them to do. I'll be paying them back as soon as I can, even though they will try not to take it. See ya there!
LOL..they always try not to take it..so I just leave it at their house when they are not home :)
Either that or I'll put it into his bike or his car...lol.
thats great !!
I finaly told my parents that i was trying some motorcycle racing.
You should of heard my mom when i was talking to her on the phone, they live about 1000 miles away from me.
Mom:
So Holly(my wife) said you were at the race track last weekend.
Me:
Yep
Mom:
She said you were watching bikes race or something?
Me:
Yep
Mom:
Is that those dirt bikes that go over the jumps?
Me:
Nope, these are road racing bikes that race on a 2 mile road coarse.
Mom:
Oh, are the streets blocked off ?
Me:
No mom this isnt on the road, its a dedicated road course, like NASCAR at Watkins Glenn (Dads a nascar fan).
Mom:
Oh, you been going to this a every weekend ? ? (this was in april, that i had a race weekend, track day weekend, and another trackday weekend 3 weekends in a row).
Me:
No I was at some track days last weekend.
Mom:
Tack days ?
Me:
Well its where u can go out and ride on a race course and go as fast as you like without worring about cars, trees, deer, stuff like that.
Mom:
You do this ?
Me:
Yep
Mom:
Are you racing ?
Me;
Yep ?
Mom ?
How did you learn ?
This went on and on and on for about 1 hour !!!
She really doesnt have a clue about what this is and its impossible for me to compare anything that they do to raceing. It's funny though, i sent them some pictures, they ask some more questions, then just say well be carefull.
Gotta love parents !!!
LOLOL!!!
My mom was really skeptical about all this until they came out to the last Blackhawk (they were en route to their home in Delaware after spending the week with my grandmother in MN). Now it's the first thing she asks me about when we talk!
Im Real happy for you!! ;D, I just got back from vacation and read your e-mail. I would like too help, sounds like your getting things under control; you are very resoursefull as are most true racers. I would love too watch you race Sunday but I will be racing at JGP. There is a motard only race and im looking foreward too that. I stand a good chance of winning at least I think so. Ride well and enjoy your self as you have so much too be thankfull for Motard11 ;)
Well my parents sort of went my first weekend they missed riders school but showed up for the endurance race. We talked them into scoring well they got to watch one nasty highside that collected like three bikes from the scorers area (red flag). Well then about 30 minutes later my buddy didn't come around, he had crashed in turn 2, my mom started asking around on how long these pit stops take after we had not come around for thirty minutes. ooops guess you should tell your scorer when you are out of the race ::) She was a little mad that we let her worry and they have not made it back to a race but my grandparents love it and come to the track close to home when I race.
My husband, Zac, and I finally got our parents out to a few of our races this year. The dads like walking around the pits and watching the races from different corners. They really get into it and have fun. The moms don't watch very much. My mom will only watch the start/finish straightaway of my races. That way she knows I've crossed the finish line in one piece. After my dad saw a few of my races he told her, "Yeah, it's probably good that you only watch the straightaway. She really gets that bike over in the corners." So it makes my mom nervous and my dad proud. But they both love to brag about their daughter that races motorcycles. 8)

LOL!!!
That's why I prefer to watch Paul at the S/F line.
Dawn :)

Good luck up there Motard! You are right..I really lucked out. Hopefully I can get everything in order in time to be able to race next month too...lol. Things are going fairly well at the new job for now. The car biz is the quick fix, not sure about the long haul yet.
My parents are the best. They've been incredibly supportive. :)
