Hey Henry,
I'm not going to jump on the protest Moroso band wagon, but next year can we race Jennings 4 times and Moroso 4 times or maybe add a race at Roebling. I know its more complicated than justs changing the program, but it would be nice to change it up a bit and break up the monotony of going to the same track all summer long.
See ya saturday
I vote for more homestead!
Homestead is very expensive to get and there are limited dates, so in effort to be more comprimising I think changing a 1 or 2 Moroso to a Jennings or Roebling is more likely.
That is not going to happen for several reasons. And you can bet that financial is one of them. Did you happen to notice the spectators at Jennings as compared to Moroso? That should tell you something! ::)

Henry, any chance of adding a roebling date, rumor has it they are repaving next summer, it would be great to get a date late summer on a newly paved roebling. how bout 3 jennings and 1 roebling next year. I live closer to moroso than anybody and still wouldn't mind driving a little for those tracks!, make one of the jennings a double points weekend, that should get entry #s up.
The Florida series is run in Florida. There are 12 points races and the national final at Daytona. That is enough races for 1 region. Roebling is not in our region. But any CCS license holder can of course run any CCS sanctioned races around the country.

Henry,
We are always glad to see FL region racers at Roebling. The SE region does have 2 crossover events at Jennings this year. Two of our three Roebling events were crossovers with MA. Perhaps next year one of the Roebling dates could be setup as a FL/SE crossover. A quick scan of the SE points show a fair number who seem to enjoy racing in the region.
Hope to see the usual suspects and others at the upcoming Twin Sprints on 7/26-27. $75 practice day as usual on 7/25.
Art, our schedule is already set for 2004 and I don't think you'll see me giving up any of our dates for Roebling. But as you said, Florida riders are welcome at your events as they are at any CCS event.

Im with you on this one also mills See you all this weekend
I just wanna race...can't wait for Sunday now! ;D I am planning on going to Barber at least once next year, anybody wanna ride with me let me know. ;)
I do hate to be the spoiler but I have to agree with Art on this one.........not to mention the riders. They deserve the opportunity to run different tracks other than Florida's. The Southeast runs many states and now they have added Jennings. I have heard Roebling plans to repave but that has been said many times in 4 yrs...but once it is, it will be a fun place to ride like it has been for so long......why not add it to the list?
Oh, by the way, financial for whom? Doesn't look like some of the riders mind. They pay the tab anyway. Right?
As far as spectators at Jennings, who would want to come out and spend the day from many miles away just to be forced out by 6 pm? HELLO!!
I know it is that way for all Fla tracks but damnit. ( By the way guys, on regular days Jennings GP lets ya camp free)
That's why some of our Southeast riders have no more use for Fla region. I have heard more complaints about the operation than ever. Why would a rider travel for 5 hours, have to wait until 7:30 or 8:00 AM to sign in at the gate, set up, register, tech, and start practice at 9:00 AM just to have his race at 5:00 and then be told to leave in 1 hour? They would be worn slap out before practice even started.
Well, not to make a book or anything, I'll be quiet now. However, all you racers who want variety, I am with ya!!!!!!!!!! Southeast RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me just say that I will work a full day on Saturday and still be able to ride ALL my races this weekend. Everybody is entitled to their opinion as to how to run things. Don't knock it until you've done it, or get off your butt and try to run a region. ::) Didn't we have a several page discussion on this already...welcome to last May. ;)
cant please all the people, all the time.. i as well am hoping to race other tracks in the future, but as it is now i cant take 3 full days for races. The fl region suits my work/business schedule.
It would be nice to see more races at JenningsGP. I hope the crowds increase.
I like Henry and the program he runs, but I don't love racing at Moroso. In fact if I didn't care about the championship points and all the help form my sponsors I wouldn't run the July and August rounds at Moroso. I would really be looking forward to a race at a different track during this heat. I think that Moroso is the hottest track in the country, plus the storms that roll in every afternoon make it like a steam room. Jennings is just cooler this time of year. Hopefully next year we won't have to double up on any track. I know the homestead cancelation is driving that feeling.
By the way, Henry thanks for all the hard work and time you put into the championship, and If it weren't for you none of us could race anyway.

( By the way guys, on regular days Jennings GP lets ya camp free) :'( DUDE REALLY WHO IN JENNINGS AREA WOULD COME TO A RACE, IF WE WERE HUNTING WE COULD GET MORE SPECTATORS OR MAYBE A BASS FISHING CONTEST ? MOST THE LOCAL'S ARE NOT AWARE THERE IS ANY RACING NEAR THERE.

I WILL ASSUME YOU DID NOT KNOW ABOUT PRE ENTRY, HENRY DEGOUW UNLIKE OTHER'S WILL NOT CASH YOUR ENTRY TILL DAY OF THE RACE.
WHAT RACE ARE YOU RUNNING ON SAT. ? I DO NOT THINK YOU HAVE EVER RACED A FLORIDA REGION RACE OR YOU WOULD NOT BE MAKING SUCH CLAIMS. I HEAR THIS SAME CRAP OVER AND OVER STOP IT PLEASE IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE PROGRAM DO NOT RACE IT PLANE AND SIMPLE, LAST JENNING THERE WERE 2 RACE'RS FROM SOUTHEAST REGION WHO STARTED OFF UNHAPPY BEFORE THE DAY EVER STARTED , BUT ON SUNDAY WHEN WE PACKED UP AND WERE READY TO LEAVE THESE SAME BLUE HAIRED FELLOW'S CAME AND ASKED IF WE COULD TALK TO THE CCS AND GET THEM TO CHANGE THERE SET UP TO A SIMULAR PROGRAM,
Well, not to make a book or anything, I'll be quiet now. However, all you racers who want variety, I am with ya!!!!!!!!!! Southeast RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!![/quote]
BOOK YOU ALREADY MADE ! AND THE SOUTHEAST RULES WHAT , A ONE EYED MAN LEADING THE BLIND !!
JUST KIDDING I HAVE MANY FRIENDS IN SOUTHEAST WHO ARE GREAT, BUT I CAN NOT REMEBER LAST TIME A SOUTHEAST RIDER WAS A NATIONAL CHAMPION ?

MIKE , YOU JUST NEVER HAD A 18 RACE SCHEDUAL AND HAD TO GO TO SAVANNA 2 TIMES A YEAR THEN TALLADEGA 1 , ATALANTA 1 , THESE YEARS WERE KILLERS LOT'S OF FUN BUT KILLED MOST RACERS BANK ACCOUNTS, I TO WOULD LIKE TO RACE MANY DIFFERENT TRACKS SAVANNA, KERSHAW, BARBER ALL ARE TOPS ON MY FAVORITES, SO WE MUST HAVE A WERA ALSO TO GET IT DONE.
hey mike, after you win all those championships this year, we can get some guys together from s. florida and pick a nice schedule for next year that can include some other tracks- vir, robeling, barber ect., that was my plan for this year only the bike did not cooperate. Before you say it, i'll say it for you, get an sv.
Roadracer I think you missed my piont. I'm not suggesting we do more than the 12 or 13 race schedule. I was only saying it would be nice not to have to race Jennings back to back and Moroso back to back. Unfortuately, due to the construction at Homestead we have to race 3 times in a row at Moroso. Like Bryan, Moroso is the closet track to me and I can even sleep in my own bed every night those weekends but I'd rather race somewhere else.
Bryan sounds like a great idea. Maybe were can race some endurance race next year on my SV, since you'll be tinkering on some sort of TZ. ALso thinks for the support on the National Championship. We'll see in October.
I already told ya I'm in on the endurance if you'll have me. I've spoken a bit with a couple WERA teams already about riding as a fill-in or even as a permanent rider. I can't wait for the Team Challenge in October. :D
Im up to go to some other tracks next year. Gotta keep the Mills ,Scuba Steve racing show together. I wanted to run some WERA events also but i dont have the funds for it this year
Ah funding...the ever-present issue between me and racing all over the place each weekend. If I ever win Lotto...ya'll better watch out. Of course I'd have to adopt Steve onto MightyDuc Racing and take him with me...lol. No upgrades for his bike though...I need all the advantages I can get. ;D
