Title: Performance Index?

While looking at the overall points page, there is a column that lists each individuals performance index. Can someone tell me exactly what this relates too?
I have a fague idea, but I'd like to know what the index actually compares.
All I'm pretty sure of is that a higher number is better...from the look of it.

I think it has something to do with average finishing postion to races entered.. like someone who enters one race and finishes first would have a 1000.. that's my guess..

If you do a search, you will find the formula. It has to do with how many bikes finish in front of you and how many bikes started the race. If you crash a lot like me ;D it stays pretty low even if you finish up front a lot. Cherry-picking here I come. ;)

[(T-A)/T]*1000 = performance index

where T = the total number of people in your races - including you.
A = the total number of people that finished ahead of you.
