Title: What class can sv run in?
Post by: Kal on June 09, 2003, 06:14:58 PM
I'm just getting into racing and am looking at an sv650.  I've read the rule book and am a little confused on what class the sv650 can run in.  I know it's a dumb question but, i'm not sure the difference between gt,gtu and gto. I think I can race in the lightweight supersport for sure. How is the sportsman lightweights different?  All right, try not to flame me too much.  Thanks.

Classes that the SV can run....

LW Super Sport
LW Super Bike
Thunderbike
GT Lights
LW GP
Super twins

I'm sure that I am probably missing one, but those are the ones that I can think of off the top of my head.

Thanks Dawn, and as long as the motor isn't modded, I can run in the superbike class, Right? It's supersport that can have engine work done I believe.

SV650's can also run in the middleweight classes and the heavyweight classes also, but u wont be that competive in them.  If u have a bike that qulifies in lightweight classes u can run in middleweight and heavyweight classes also
