Was wondering if you can leave Ultimate 4 race fuel in your bike. Some say no problem, some say you should take out and store in the metal can it comes in.. any know for sure??
Problem with leaving gas in the tank is that not all of the chemicals evaporate at the same rate. The more volatile tend to evaporate more quickly. This will change the composition of the gas. I would drain the tank and keep the fuel in a sealed container.
i agree.. just spoke to VP in texas.. the oxegenated component evaporates.. thus looses the hp factor your paying so much for. DRAIN after use. Keep the can sealed at all times. ULTIMATE 4 it is NOT corrosive to motor parts or rubber lines if left in the bike however. 1 of there other fuels is corrosive if left in howver.
Did they say which One is
Yes...the one YOU are using! ;D ...just kidding! :-X

Oh well! its a SV nothing can hurt it. ;D
you should drain the tank and store it back into the can so the 02 part of the fuel does not evaporate.I use the same fuel and also flush the system out with pump gas after the race weekend. :)
Sounds like to much work to me. :'(
MR 1 will eat the inside of your tank if you don't keep it topped off. Your best bet is to drain the tank after use then fill with pump gas, so the tank does not rust. I found out the hard way. It happened to me.
I would drain the tank too. but remember to fill it back up with regular pump gas to keep it from rusting. and put in some sea-foam fuel treatment. Stay away from sta-built.
