Did he make it yesterday without taking soil samples or the bike tearing up. :o Its so entertaining reading his race updates, I cant wait to hear what happened. ;D
he did very well in some of his races on sunday. Brian is a very good rider with such little track time.... I will let him fill you in on his escapades in saturday practice, but heres a hint. Ducks like water right? ;) (splashing sound here)..
Either tonight or tomorrow night I should have a full report up on the website. I got two 2nds, a 4th in Supertwins, and a tenth in MW Gp after pulling in with a lap to go with no front brakes. Tons of fun out there. Mills and Scuba Steve rode awesome and so did the Melk Man. There was some guy named Pena there that was flying in his classes. Melk...I heard that guy won every amateur race he entered a few years back and then took a year off and somehow was allowed to stay amateur. Oh well, cherry pickers will be cherry pickers. ;D As far as Sunday practice goes...I saved a high side on cold tires and couldn't stay on the track. At the exit of the long right hander...turn 10-11 I think, rain water collects to about knee deep and it's called Lake Moroso. Let's just say that you can't ride through it, but it does help to break your fall. I just wish I knew why I went down...was only running at about 85%. Oh well...kept it upright in all the races and had a blast...and like I said, look for a full report soon. :)

MD.. it was a spectacular splash that could be seen from some distance but no question.. better than a high side. Nice save.
On "THE AXE" mr. Pena.. All i heard about him was second hand by my rider frind Dave White in formula 40 and Laz Diaz who both know him from a number of years ago (Laz is friends with him). SUPER fast then dragging Elbows and (as Dave put it) "even his helmet". Something about a Mexican National champion (if there is such a thing) as well. Believe me ..he was playin with me. I had big leads in a couple races only to have him sit back and when he thought time, pass me in t1. Then hed just cruiz along just ahead enough for the win on his new 2003r6. he is a VERY good rider. Was happy to watch him ride from up close.
Yeah...I watched all your races. He was unbelievably fast and would just sit in like 3rd or so, then blow past everybody. Maybe he oughta be an expert??? ;D
I had a good view of the ducks splash i was following him i gotta say it was pretty good. ;D. i had a blast racing with mills and duc i just need to get some more HP. :D. Bryan i have something to give you next round. ;D
Can't wait to see what you all got me...lol. Leon the Pirelli guy awarded me with the "Gloden Flipper" award. ;D You have to admit, I was up quicker than anybody you've ever seen crash before...lol...had to get the bike up and out of the darn water. :)
Oh yeah...my wife now calls me...MightyDuc Racing, by land, sea, and air! ;D

AHHH...HAAA, so your Duc IS water-cooled....Hmmmm ;)
At least it was water cooled on Sunday. My leathers, boots, and gloves were water cooled on Monday too. ;)

HOLY CRAP thats funny..! ;D (you know you saw all this comming right?)
Pretty bad when even the wife is roughing me up. ;D
LOL your wife is cool!!! Just cant wait to see your guys face when i give you the present. ;D. Greg stop[ playing on the computer your turning into mighty duck with your post in every site!!!!! :D j/k. Bryan you know you werent the only one to go in the water before my supersport race some guy on a SV went in on the warm-up lap!!!!!
Yeah, I heard. I guess better the water than the wall, right? I figured out basically what had happened to me, I think. I was getting that corner wrong all day and apexing it too soon. When I picked up the throttle, I must have been leand way too far over for ANY throttle and that caused it to step out. During the MW GP, I think I finally got it right. Oh well...we'll find out in July if I can pick the pace back up. I think I can run in the mid 1:45-1:46 range there once I stop babying it through there...lol.
I happened to be sitting at pit out mid afternoon on Monday after getting most of the cafe cleaned up. A rider came in with his visor up and he said "I can't see!!". Reason being was that the visor was about 80% covered with mud. Ugh...what a mess.
There was a hole in 4 riders left that one of the cornerworkers was talking about. I believe it was passed on to track maintenance so they could patch it. Was that the same one you guys were hitting?
Will
I hate when I get mightduc and duc pond racing confused...
<--hangs head in shame :(
It was off of turn 10 and 11 (long right hander). There was basically a 2 foot deep lake on the outside at the exit of the corner. If you go off track there, you are done.
this was at Moroso...I thought for some reason u were talking about Summit Point.
Turn 11 means something completely different at Summit. heh heh.
:o :o :o
forget about air fence I suggest we use small pools of water before a fence. Its already been tested by Brain. I got a great view of it and it looked like the scenes in the Matrix and Speed when the cars hit the hydro barrier. Brain you did good I hope my advice helped.
I had pretty much planned on laying back on my wife's suggestion as well. I basically did exactly what you said, except I waited 1 lap too many to push in LW GP, but that's totally okay with me. By MW GP, I finally was getting through that right hander fairly well, and it was fun having a bike with more straightaway speed than me to race with. I just wish I hadn't lost my brakes, I was having a blast racing with Jim McKillip on his R6! At least I have a long break between rounds to get everything fixed. My boots lost their soles and I ripped a glove, so I need new gear too. :( By the way, the water is pretty friendly to the rider for the most part...pretty nasty tumble turned into a bruised shoulder and stiff neck. My boots, gloves, helmet, and leathers didn't fair quite as well though. :o ;D
Great job this weekend Mills, another 3 wins to add on to your already impressive season! Congrats!!! :D

It was pretty awesome i saw him jump up so i knew he was ok and i couldnt help but laugh because i was joking earlier about DUCS in the pond.i almost missed the chicane at the end of the straight because of it. Thanks for the pointers Mills helped out alot. I think im going to look into the motor stuff now you and bryan just walk away down the straights. If the race was over by the 1st turn i wouldve won them all. LOL
I just ordered new clutch plates, but I suck anyway

Yep...Mills sucks. We just let him win so he can feel good at the end of the day. Steve and I figure this is his last year as an AM, and we may be able to come back next year. ;D By the way, Steve...forget about the motor work, you don't need it at all. :P I like following and then nipping ya at the line...if you get the motor work done, I doubt I'll even be able to see ya anymore. I kept it on two wheels on Monday, and as sad as it sounds, I'm pretty proud of myself for that. ;) Now I just gotta get the brakes fixed, the rest of the wet stuff replaced or cleaned, new boots, and new gloves. :-/
Let me clarify my SUCK statement. I was refering to my ablity at starting not as a whole.
;D ;D ;D By the way...I wasn't sure if the second race was one or two waves...it was my first ever one wave start...lol. I saw Mills rev his bike so I just waited until he moved to take off. ;D Oops.

Ya that was my plan just to sit behind Mills all year and make him look good! ;D I wasnt planning on doing anything to the motor this year but after you beat me to the line forget about that! :o I have to say you looked good out there Bryan im proud that you didnt run into me ,any trees, and the water on Monday :P.
You gotta admit...A. It was hotter than hell on Sunday and a darn good day for a swim, and B. That was the biggest splash you've ever seen! ;D
Sorry...too tired to write the race report again tonight. Had to clean the garage and take care of some side work tonight. Will get to it by the end of the week, I promise!
I agree with both of your reasons for swiming next time leave thre bike on the track though :o
I just didn't think of that...I wish you would have suggested that sooner. See, it's all your fault! ;D
