Anybody that saw me at BHF's at the opener heard me bitchin' that my rear-end was dangerously locking up & uncontrolably bouncing, anytime I squeezed the front brake hard.
Anyone that was close behind me prolly saw it bouncing ;D
Saturday, I was able to work around it, as I was just cruising around, learning the track.
Sunday though, the temps were up and everyone put there head down.
It was a frustrating and scary bike to ride, and the increased speeds/leans on Sunday made the bike literally unridable. Wound up chattering off the track and into the mud.
Anyway, no amount of suspension adjusting did anything to fix it. I haven't even raced since BHF"s :( cause the bike was way too dangerous to ride, and I couldn't figure out the prob.
After going through all the enginemount/swingarm/motormount torques, clutch, rebuilding forks, swingarm/wheelbase length, etc....We just found out (Sat) the shock had ZERO nitrogen in it. :P
Pressurized it and tried it out at Gateway trackday this past weekend.
I can't get the rearend to lock-up now :) :) :) I am so happy I just had to post this nonsense :P :D
See you guys at the next event :)
ps: It's nice to be able to brake hard again :) ....and EBC's fade bad ;)
Glad you got it fixed. Good luck out there! ;D
Baller
this must mean you're gonna come out and play??lol
You have to show me the fast way around Gateway next month..
Cool!
Going to MAM with us?
ERIC!!! Dood, good to see you back. ;D If you're goin' to MAM, have fun. I won't be out there to cheer you guys on, but give 'em hell!
QuoteERIC!!! Dood,
I though that was spelled...."Dude" ??? ;)
Dawn ;D
That's how it's spelled, but you say it "dooooood". LOL ;) ;D
Erik, Just because your bike didn't handle well, doesn't mean you have to stop posting. Where have you been?
