Supposed to be quite visable overhead from Madison WI on north. Visible down to central IL looking north.

I have seen aurora borealis just once, many decades ago, when I lived in northern Illinois.

Coincidently, today is exactly 160 years since The Carrington Event. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_storm_of_1859)
