Will someone please tell me why CCS does not put Barber on the schedule?
I would guess cost then availability. Or maybe availability then cost...
It's a wonderful place to race.
CCS did race there before. The last year was 2009.There wasn't many riders that showed up for the races with lots of races with less then 10 bikes. In the years before there was alot of riders, some over 20 riders. It is far away from most racers that race the normal tracks. They had it as a Mid Atlantic and Southeast region event. It is a great track and would like to go again someday. They should mail out a question to fill out to everyone with a licence and ask if they would race there.
Late with this response, but 2009 was one year after the collapse of the nations economy. Gas was over $4/gallon. Given that most are budget racers, these factors would keep people away from any track. But the economy is better and trucks that haul our bikes get better MPGs.
So, maybe it's time to re-visit Barber?
