Title: RIP Frank Kinsey
Post by: Gino230 on September 16, 2014, 11:08:07 AM
I just read that Frank Kinsey passed away. Long time Michelin Tire vendor in the SE and race school operator.

If it wasn't for Frank, I probably wouldn't be racing today. He took alot of time helping me figure out the basics, well before I had ever met him or spent any money with him. I eventually took his "no brakes" school at Moroso and got my license. 15 years ago there weren't any track day organizations, most racing orgs didn't have a website, and none of the local shops sponsored racers so it was kind of the dark ages figuring out how to get started. Thank you Frank, and Godspeed.

Damn, thats so sad. Did his license school in 1995 at Roebling and his last track day. He will be missed.

He will be missed.. The guy was very helpful and supportive of my racing, and a friend to nearly all that met him. I will miss the stories from his AMA days, as well as his no nonsense view on life in general.

A great loss to the sport.
