So... some friends and I will be using my bike for the Team Challenge in July @ NJMP. Will be our first time doing endurance and I'm curious as to what tires everyone uses?? I have a spare set of DRC's that we can put on prior to the race, but not sure if they can go the distance. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Extremely vague question???
Bike?
Riders?
Pace?
Tires/compound?
These and more will help determine your race?
1:40 laps will be easy to go the distance on any tire, 1:25's not so much....
What Mazz said ^
Sueprbike Pro from Pirelli will. It does lack traction but will last forever.
It's all in the details...which I didn't give:
07zx6
3 riders of varying pace...hoping to average 1:40 or better
The brand new DRC's were our initial tire of choice. Also could run the Trackday Slick as another option, have a set with minimal wear.
Run the Pirelli TD slicks. There is so much rubber on them you could run a couple endurance races.
