Hey guys,
I have a quick question regarding a supersport rule; does an aftermarket suspension linkage eliminate the bike from supersport competition under 6.1.2 A "Original equipment wheels, brakes calipers, forks, frame, engine, fuel induction system, and swing arm must be used" section. Swingarm is OEM as is everything else under this category. I wasn't entirely sure of the reading or interpretation of where/if an aftermarket suspension linkage was used.
Thanks in advance!
Jon

Correct. Aftermarket ratio changing linkages are not allowed per SS rules.
The dogbones or shock linkages are an unregulated part in SuperSport classes. As such, stock, modified, different model, aftermarket are all legal for SuperSport classes.
Where the linkages mount to is a controlled item ie the frame and swingarm and those most remain as produced.
Thanks for that correction Erik.
Thanks for the correction Eric. I let the WERA book bleed into my brain. Sorry for the confusion.
Eric,
Thank you very much for the clarification. Since all items were very specific in the subsection of chapter 6, I thought it would be but I'd rather gan official answer from you guys!
Thanks again,
Jon
