My GET GPS unit flew off at Daytona :banghead:
Looking to get one that is compatible with Mac, and gives some kind of data similar to what I was getting with GET. Basically speed vs. position on the track. Anything else is a bonus.
What are you using, pros and cons?
Thanks!
Gino
the lack of support for apple is not a problem if your willing to do some work
On a Mac computer, you can install software that allows you to run Windows and Windows applications. The specific software depends on what kind of Mac you have.
Intel-based Macs Because newer Macs use Intel processors, they can run Windows and Windows applications as quickly as PCs. Several different methods are available for running Windows on Intel Macs:
- To dual-boot between OS X and Windows, use Apple's Boot Camp (http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/). This approach provides the most compatibility with Windows software and peripherals, but does not allow you to run Windows and Mac OS X applications at the same time.
- To run Windows in a virtual machine within OS X, use Parallels Desktop (http://www.parallels.com/), VMware Fusion (http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/overview.html), or VirtualBox (https://www.virtualbox.org). This method will allow you to run Mac and Windows applications concurrently, though the virtual machine does not support as much Windows functionality as a dual-boot configuration.
- To run Windows programs without having to install Windows itself, use a Windows compatibility layer, such as CrossOver Mac (http://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover/). This option typically offers good functionality for a limited set of Windows applications.

I have VMware Fusion, but I couldn't find a copy of windows and I'm too cheap to buy the full price version just to run my lap timer software. Maybe I'm just going to have to pull the trigger.....looks like AIM solo is the one for me.
How much is the full version ?
Dont put your self down your not too cheap your a cheapskate , LOL
