Title: Cesar Chacon ... RIP racer.
Post by: MELK-MAN on July 23, 2013, 11:17:22 AM
Read and heard of the confirmation that Cesar passed. I didn't know him, but this is a bummer. Wishing the best for his family.

I was really hoping for the best.  I'm sorry to hear about his passing.  Too many racers are leaving us this year.  R.I.P.

RIP.   Any updates on the other riders that required medical attention?   Best wishes for all involved.

I know rider #212 went to the hospital to be checked out but all they found was a possible hairline fracture of his wrist.  He raced on Sunday.

In addition, I heard (talk around the garages) the the other rider down (not Cesar) had some sort of surgery and was in stable condition.

Damn...RIP.  My condolences to Cesar's family and everyone involved.  I was supposed to race this event but ended up not going last second.

The Chacon Family would like to thank the Road Racing Community for its outpouring of prayer and love. Cesar's love for all things 2 wheeled was only eclipsed by his Love for his wife and his daughter. The family continues to get requests from people looking to help with donations and thanks to several members of NESBA, CCS, WERA, Absolute Cycles, Markbuilt Racing, and many other people we have put together a PayPal link where donations can be sent.

If you can please let the Road Racing community know of this fund, and again express our gratitude to everyone for this amazing show of support. We are finalizing funeral arrangements now and will forward them to you if you would be kind enough to post on your site and Facebook page.
