The tentative Schedule has zero mention of side cars. I have a buddy from work who loves to watch those guys. Are they coming?
The SRA site does have this weekend on their schedule. The upcoming NJMP event too.
Kindof makes you wonder what the schedule is going to look like this weekend... huh?
Yes the SRA is coming to Summit this weekend. Hope they squeeze us in the schedule somewhere ;-)
Is it common knowledge what time we can start gaining access to the paddock on Friday? (Most of us are driving 8-12 hours.)

I'm not an official spokesperson, however MARRC is hosting a trackday all Day Friday. My belief is you would be able to show up anytime Thursday night and on - so anytime Friday would be fine. They may charge you for an extra day of track entry fee, but that would be it.
Excited to have the three wheels out!
Chris, last round they told us we had to wait till 5pm on Friday due to a trackday. Last year the one round we had to wait until like 7:45pm. They will let you inside the gate, but might have you park along the road to wait to enter the paddock.

It wasn't a MARRC trackday though.
agreed
Thanks folks for the good weekend. Summit is a big highlight on our calender- great circuit and friendly group to share the paddock with.
Now if we could get some central a/c ON the track maybe my rig wont shut itself off again next year!

It's cool to see the side cars out at Summit. Last year I only watched T1 and T3 from the tower, this year I got out to the inside of T5-9...that's some good stuff. Will enjoy watching again next year!
And if you could ask your pet deer to pick one side of the track or the other for the duration of the race there would be a lot less undergarments that need to be replaced :ahhh:
Seriously, had a fantastic weekend and look forward to returning next year! We'll see if we can make the finish closer than 0.021 seconds next year 8)

I'm glad all we experienced was the ground hog. Didn't relish hitting it with the hack at all - can't imagine hitting a deer.
Please, please, please bring some cold air with you!!!
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the sidecars.
