250 Spec race write up.

Good weekend of racing 5/26/2013 at Palm Beach International raceway.
Twelve 250 Spec class riders joined us on the grid. Amongst us was
a new addition to the class, veteran rider Tony Montenegro. Montenegro
brings with him over 30 years of racing experience on numerous makes, models, and
engine displacements, which include his current Kawasaki ZX6.

The weather conditions were threatening all weekend long however it stayed dry for both
days. The track surface provided good traction.

For race 7 Ultra Light Thunder bike, the field was divided into a few groups with Ferreyra and Chirino, running out front.
La Paz, Montenegro, Kyle Edwards and Sammi Hakim contending for the third podium spot while Bill Weissinger and Jesus
Sierra fell back however were not far behind. Meanwhile Andres Jaramillo, Frank De La Renta, Andres Daniel, and German
Vacca were having there own four way battle, exchanging positions numerous times.

Montenegro's hopes for a podium finish were cut short when he tucked the front going into turn four and crashed out of the race. Leaving La Paz, Edwards, and Hakim fighting for the podium spot. "Been roadracing . since 79 and have rode everything. This series is one of the most fun I ever had" says Montenegro. "Chasing Sabrina and dicing with Bill was great. I am used to riding the front tire and pushing it from many spec bikes in the 80s. I was pushing the front hard in 4 till it finally gave out".

It was Sabrina La Paz with the third place finish in front of Kyle Edwards.

Kyle Edwards hopes for a podium finish were ended as he ran wide going into turn 6 and crashed out. Leaving La Paz and Hakim to battle it out. once again it was Jaramillo, De La Renta, Daniel, and Vacca dicing for position."The biggest battle was in the second race for the last 4 places between andres andy german and me" Says De La Renta." The places where traded at least 5 to 9 times between the 4 of us. It was one of the closest and more fun races I personaly have done."

It was Hakim who was to take the 3rd position in front of La Paz.
