I know this is an AMA related question, but one of our fellow CCS racers was involved in a Super Sport crash at Road America this past weekend. I can't find any status. How is Ricardo doing?
Dan Ortega posted this update last night:
"Went up to check on Ricardo at the hospital tonight. He's looking good after surgery #1 on the hip. It looks like the next one will be on his ankle. Heal up fast!"
Thanks for the update. I know its a side effect of racing and we all know the risk going into this, but its still a difficult situation. Keep the updates coming and we can show our support. He seems to be a real good guy around the track.
it was an ugly crash for sure. mass carnage like i have never seen ..

He is a lucky man! I stopped breathing for a little when I saw that on the live stream.

Ricardo, quit sandbagging and get out of the hospital already! But on the other hand... I might actually have a shot at winning a race with you in there too ::)
JK, heal up quick bro!

That crash was "WOW". Get well soon.
Don't feel sorry for Chimi! Everybody knows he's a cheater.
Besides that I heard that he hates puppies and kittens!
Oh hell, I guess I have to say it, hurry up and get back to the track.
Get back quick anyway!
Steve Palella stopped in the shop after visiting Chimi and said he's in good spirits. :thumb:
He also Visited Tyler Linders who's pretty bummed out, which is understandable.
Hope everyone involved in that incident heals up quickly. I don't have CBS Sports so I saw the crash first time yesterday and it was definitely worse than the turn one crash involving Steve Rapp all those years ago.
Nice to see the updates on him and he's in good spirits. What a nasty crash.
