Pretty good if you were on a 400!

My first race weekend was at Summit as well.  It was on an FZR 600  in 1998.  I am pretty sure the best times I turned was in the 39's.  Don't sweat it.  When I went back in 2000 I was down to high 20's on the same bike you are on.  There is no substitue for track time! It will come.  Patience Young Jedi...

It all depends on a lot of things. If it was your first time ever, on any track, then that is pretty good. You are within 10 seconds of the guys winning your class. Like he said, it will come. I don't think the time was embarrasing. I think my first weekend I was turning around 1:40 on a 600 on the old pavement. I had never been on a track before though.

Hey Zanyeights, maybe we took the MAARC school together? ;D
