So does anyone know who is the rider #87, on a Honda F4i... Mid-West?
I didn't even know this yesterday at BFR... but when watching my rear-view videos tonight, I saw that he went down when being lapped by an expert. I have it on video.
My point is not for argument sake, but...
1. To see if he wanted to see the video for his collection
2. Is he alright?... did he get hurt much, I believe this is what caused the red flag in the MWGP race at the end of the day.
Actually, I won't have the video ready until another day or two.
Do you know Jimmy in tech on motovid days? That's him.

I can't put a face to the guy, but I'm sure that I've spoken with him then.

I just heard Collar Bone broke in 2 places & cracked 4 ribs.
Yeah, out for 6 weeks or so. I went through Learning curves with him at RA a few months ago. We had a couple good battles in Rookies and MWSS earlier in the day at BFR. We ran about the same pace... now he's out because someone in expert didn't know how to pass. Couldn't wait 50 feet and pass safe while they where upright? Or late brake in 6?
I understand it's racing but white plates are supposed to be experienced and people to look up...

Or maybe the ameteur could have held his line and none of this would be relevant. No where in the learning curves school do they tell you to only pass when the bike is standing up. Or to pass by outbraking someone. They do teach you that when being passed to hold your line. At 12 seconds into this vid the expert appears to have made a pretty successful outside pass on the other rider. At 13 seconds the passed rider appears to have been starteled by the expert and stood his bike up into the rear wheel of the overtaking bike. This all happened in 2 seconds. Perhaps if the ameteur rider was looking thru the corner instead of lookin directly in front of him the expert may have cleared him before the ameteur even knoticed him? Or maybe the ametuer was into the corner to hot? The fact of the matter is 2 bikes can't share the same couple of squre feet at the same time. Accidents happen, I dont think the blame can be put on either rider with as many factors as you have here !

I have look at the video a few times.
The expert did nothing wrong.
The AM did not hold his line, standing the bike up.
I am sorry to hear that he will be out, I can only hope he doesn't place undue blame.

It looks like Ricardo was the expert rider involved. Ricardo is very experienced and pass seemed fine, he was only a few bikes ahead of 2nd place. When an expert comes by you, you just gotta trust them. Most of them have had several more rodeos than you, hold your line and you'll be fine. Hopefully the guy knows that for next time.
I was pitting with Chimi and crew, the tire track up the back of Ricardo's leathers was interesting, I'm still amazed he stayed up in that mess
