Post by: backMARKr on June 03, 2012, 02:32:33 PM
Has the PA gotten any better for hearing announcements in Buell Alley?

Not really. Have to listen pretty close. Its almost non-existant towards T1.

I tried it the last race and it did not work.  I asked the track marshall about it and he said the organization provides the transmitter and signal, so I assume CCS does not.

I pit by turn one and just use the flags as my calls.  Unfortunately that will not work in Buell Alley.

Don't answer this guys questions, He doesn't race with CCS anymore. He just wants to know because he's racing at BFR with WERA this weekend.

Go ask your questions on the WERA board you traitor!

An option would be to bring a scanner and tune into the cornerworker frequency. When you hear something to the effect "call through stations call through bike(s) ####" thats usually started with 2 laps to go. Call through stations are 6, 6a and 7 at BHF. And they do it again on the last lap.
