Title: Topeka TC
Post by: SV88 on April 04, 2012, 06:52:07 PM
First I'd like to thank everyone who helped/supported me during my first solo endurance - Smurph, Danch, Ed, Crazy Yvan, X and Germany.

I was disappointed by the fact that the race was so short 1:16?  What kind of endo race is that?  The team challenges are too short anyway which is why I put together a team to contest the CMRA BBE in 2010.  Those races are anywhere from 4 to 8 hrs.  I'd like to see CCS step and get these at the very least closer to the 2 hr mark.

WERA has 4 hr races which is ok.

Not too happy with CCS which managed to forget to grid me for the GTU race,  gridded me for the HWSS (which I'd swapped out) and forgot to grid me for the Team Challenge.  Luckily X noticed and sent Germany to my pit to let me know that they'd messed up again.  This is not conducive to getting into a calm cool place before the race.  Apparently it has something to do with the HTP office staff...

I'll be doing RA and possibly the first BHF (if I get another TC ride) but will do the WERA mid O round and concentrate on AMA dist. 17 enduros.

Well, the ride to the airport was fun

Glad to have met you.  You should shoot for the TC at VIR in June at the minimum...and maybe Summit PT in Aug.  Do them solo

Sean:  I'd love to do those races if I could get a bike out there.  Not into driving more than 5 hrs for races.  Thank you very much for the ride to the airport.  I may take my sv out of retirement just so that I can dice with Geo and Max @ BHF.

Forgot to mention that I really appreciate the  help and advice from Ricardo (gearing), Brian H and Jason F.  These guys are highly skilled racers who are also class acts.

Just glad you made the grid.

Although, I wish your points didn't go to help RnR...
I will have to deal with that later!
