Title: 93 octane at Topeka
Post by: design-engine on April 02, 2012, 04:55:38 PM
Whats the deal with Kansas anyway.  I think Denver is the same thing.  Why can't a guy get 93 octane at the pump in those select states.  I knew there would be a problem so I purchased an extra jug but that was'nt enough.  What the deal?

Was the highest 92 or 91? Dont think it's a state thing, more likely its a distributor decision. Alot of stations around here only go to 91. A few have 93. A few more have 92. What sucks is many are switching to 10% alcohol from the 5% which really screws us with older bikes that specifically state in the manual no more than 5%. Thankfully Kwik Trip has 100% gas for premium.

thanks for the scoop.  I looked it up everyplace and didnt see a thing online.  I ended up mixing 110 from Hartland Park with 91 at about half and half leaning towards more 91.    Seemed like my bike was a little faster.
