CCS has taken the first step towards doing the right thing......(thank you CCS!).....& changed the rule to "no 125gp or MD250h".
awesome!!!
That gives us a fighting chance!
The good news is, (& I hope CCS realizes this!), there's no one sitting at home with a ninja 250 with flatslides & cams & crank work that's looked at the 2012 rules & said, "Awesome! Now I can roadrace my 250 ninja superbike, like I've always wanted to, but it was never legal!"
Let's keep'em supersport, guys!
So my stretched and bottle fed 250 isn't normal?
Closer to stock to keep it cheap is a great plan. If you have a 250 because you want HP you may be a little misguided.
Will the extra 2 hp really make that difference.
We had a 3 bike draft going at roebling, & I imagine if one of us had an additional 2-3 hp, it would've made a difference!
Big thanks to Shon and Miguel for pressing the issue and also to CCS management for hearing our gripe and giving the class a chance to grow in the direction that most of us here wanted.
I'm sure CCS would be happy to see 50 bikes on the grid but 6 at homestead and 5 at RRR seems like a good start considering those 11 entries are by 9 different bikes. Let's put bikes on the grid!
And that 3 bike draft was pretty cool, even though I was on the losing end of it :)
Well done CCS! And whomever helped press this issue for the riders. Now it's our turn.... bikes on the grid en masse! For me, I've got 4 pistons inbound and a beautiful "barn fresh" donor motor patiently waiting. Hope to be going for May PBIR. See you guys then- you've got payback coming!
This is great news. Definitely a step in the right direction. Thanks too all who are supporting the class! Hope to se you all at Jennings 03-31.
