Well folks....went to the dyno yesterday and finished breaking the new motor in. It makes more hp than the old motor, even with the charging system magneto and K&N Pre-Charger screens on the carbs! 92 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of torque compared to 90.5 hp and 67 lb-ft before. I can already tell by shifting it on the dyno that I'm gonna love this 748 gearbox compared to the 900SS that I had before. All the top gears are tight. Then I stayed up late last night safety wiring and cleaning and polishing. Then went over every nut and bolt and double checked it all. I am ready to go racing!!! Finally!!! Congrats on getting her all put together - going to be a sweet ride, I bet. So you put a 748 box on a 900 SS mill? Or?

Yeah...I guess that's the way to go with it now. Better ratios.

Oh yeah...of course these are only dyno numbers but in comparison to last motor with exact same gearing...old motor 150 mph...new motor 158 mph. Can't figure out why the big difference with such a small hp gain, but I'm not complaining.
