Title: Las Vegas  help
Post by: craigincali on April 20, 2003, 09:21:44 PM
I will be going to the Las Vegas Classic course next month.  Where the heck is the course?  Is it near the speedway?  Do they have a web site?  Can I camp there? I can't find anything about them on the web and the "tracks" link at the CCS site is not working for me either.

Its basically in the parking lot outside the main track.

If you click on teh track info within that website you will see an aerial view of the tracks.  Just below the large nascar oval is the track we race on.  There typically is no camping there and the only close hotels I remember are a Super 8 and a Hampton Inn.

By camping I mean sleeping in my truck.

There is a truck stop about 5 minutes from the track and that's where I slept the first night when I got there.  That should be sufficient.  I don't believe you are allowed to stay on the premises of the track unless you make sure no one sees you doing it  ;D.

The track is only about 15 mins. from the strip.  Lot of hotels there. ;D ;D

Camping would be excellent, but no......
