Title: Continental Tires in the Midwest - IFM Racing
Post by: IFMracing on February 21, 2011, 05:13:59 PM

I.F.M. Racing named by Conti-Race as the Official Continental Tire Vendor for CCS MW region events for the 2011 Race Season.

Waterloo, Iowa – Championship Cup Series (CCS) race team I.F.M. (Iowa Farm Mafia) Racing is excited to announce being named the Official Continental Race Tire Vendor for the CCS Midwest (MW) Region by Conti-Race.

I.F.M. Racing will be providing trackside support for Conti-Race at all MW region CCS events for the 2011 season.

Continental produces the ContiRaceAttack line of high performance motorcycle race tires available in various compounds for the perfect adaptation to different conditions and feature Continuous Compound Technology.  Available are the ContiRaceAttack Slick, Competition DOT, and Rain.

"I'm very excited to have this opportunity to support Conti-Race and my fellow racers at the track", said I.F.M. Racing member, Craig Davis. "I have always had great appreciation for the support and knowledge that I have received from trackside vendors, and I am really looking forward to providing that service and support to others."

Conti-Race is Continental Race Tire's largest distributor in the USA.  Lithium Motosports' Rob Oliva and Ayden Lee Racing's Brett Folkerts teamed up with Continental in 2010 with the intentions of growing the Continental brand, supporting racers and the race community, and developing a vendor network across North America.

I.F.M. Racing is a 4 racer, 5 bike motorcycle road race team that competes in CCS races in the Great Plains and Midwest Regions, and select American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA) Pro Series Team Challenge events. The team is comprised of racers, Craig Davis #28, Ralph Longus #902, Mike Boomer #713, and Troy Walbaum #143.

I'm not gonna say what I truly want to about the whole Conti/MW thing, but good luck with your sales. I ran Conti's last year and did very well on them. As long as CCS can stay updated on stats, Conti is the way to go if you're looking for solid contingency.

Can you blame them? Grid sizes are small and who wants to give away everything? I can't think of anyone who offers contingency without grid requirements.
