Title: Driving though Italy
Post by: Court Jester on February 06, 2011, 10:24:49 PM
Finally put a video together of it. Nothing amazing video wise but shows what the roads are like. Those crazy bastards can turn two lanes into four in the blink of an eye.

I've been busy as shit.
Sold all but one of the bike (gotta have one for the street), back in school and have 3 classes left, the wife will have her masters in psychology in august, the kids are getting older, and I've found that the money saved from not racing sends me to other countries to tour their roads. Next trip is ten days in Ireland on a rented bike. :)
I did skip the gixxer out for a CBR this winter to get back into some trackdays as time allows so I may be around a little here and there.

Looks relatively tame compared to Sao Paulo, Brazil.  70-100 motorcyclist die every day splitting lanes @ high speed.  Italy is probably the worst place you can drive in Europe - every male driver thinks he's better than Seb. Vettel (2010 F1 winner).

I rode a 205cc scooter down the Amalfi coast with my wife on the back having a freaking blast.  It is no wonder europeans are such awesome 2 wheel riders, they all do it in the craziest traffic.....  Very cool for sure.
