Speaking of scanners - what make/model/price do you all use?  Forgot to ask about that this weekend.  I'd like to find one that I can use at the tracks to monitor the tower and corner-worker chatter, and maybe take to an Indy Car race and listen in to the pit crews, etc.

Thanks.

I purchased mine through radio shack. It was under $200 and it gets several types of frequencies, including those used at most race events, emergency channels, such as fire/police, and the weather frequencies. It is programmable as well, but difficult to use, and I'm a tech geek.

I have a Uniden from Walmart.  I think it was around $100.  It was my big Christmas gift for 2003  ;D.
