Title: VIDEO - Crash Sequences - CCS Races 28 AUG 2010
Post by: magicrat on August 28, 2010, 07:13:57 PM
Hi All,

"If you have to crash ... well, might as well get it on film ... "

So ...

Was out between T1 and T2 today at Summit Point Main Course.

Caught a low-side in the combined 3 & 4 GTU race.  I could not get the riders number.

Caught a high-side of EX 75 in what I think was the next race (LW Formula 40??).  Dunno.

I think that's Scotty Ryan on bike #81 in front of the crasher...Scotty's on an R6.  I think he did GTU yesterday.

Too bad the crasher didn't try to save it...

#75 is Gian Bojanovich. He thinks he broke his hand. He did end up getting his bike back together and getting out ther for Sundays races.

I thought is was you for a moment...

I don't have a link handy for the "bone stuff", but it's at ethicalnutrients.com or something...get him to buy himself some for that hand.  Don't have my normal laptop 'cause of the tornado...  MCHC is the bone stuff, but if one put in "bone health" or something, there should be some options.

Yup - I think I had just out broke #75 right there into T1. I had gotten botched on the start and had to go around a bunch of people to try and run down the leader...

Listen to Dave with the bone stuff - He broke his hand pretty bad before and was back in action waaay earlier then the DR expected.

Maximum Bone-Aid from SeaCoast Natural

Funny, it's got a 5 star review by Dave on their site; I asked the ortho doc if I should be taking them last year and he confirmed that the supplements can help the healing process.

you had out broke me two laps prior as i was too hunting down Zolt.  As soon as you passed me I was on your tire trying to pass you on 1, 3 and 10.  I was setting up for a pass out of T1 and from my point of view you slowed down on the exit for a split sec, I had to do the same and get back on the gas and lost the rear.
It happens! From what I hear that was your first time there? pretty impressive! I hope everyone had a good weekend. I'll definitely try that bone stuff! thanks guys!

Yup first time there. My wife and I are running the Team Challenge series together and that's the reason we were there. I ran the GTU on Saturday to get some more setup time on the bike as Friday I was killing tires and had made tons of chassis changes Friday evening.

Good observation on my lack of "mid" to "exit of corner" speed in those turns - I was in need of a slightly heavier shock spring due to the nature of the track. When I would get the throttle open 100% early in the corner I was collapsing the rear spring completely - At that point the shock was riding on the bottom out bumper and as soon as the bike would get into the rough pavement on corner exit the tire was collapsing and spining up. Sometimes even shooting me out of the seat a bit.

I wasn't opening the throttle as quickly in those specific corners so that I could keep myself out of a highside situation...

I enjoy going to new tracks that I haven't been to - New challenges are what keep this fun. This weekend was no exception - We had a great time - Meghan and I won the Team Challenge GTU Class - And the racers on the east coast are a blast to hang out with.

Sorry about your fall - I hope you heal up quickly. Again it was great racing with you and hopefuly we make it out that way again next season.
