Guess who just save $200-$250 a month on his fuel bill???
I got one too!
But mine is a '98 and gets better mileage than you will. :finger: :kicknuts:
How many miles? How much?
78,xxx, auto, fully serviced (transmission, timing belt, water pump etc) $12,000 8)
yeah I looked at the older ones too but for a number of reasons this made more sense.

Seems like a good deal. Be careful with the auto. Haven't heard good things about them. And don't forget to join http://forums.tdiclub.com/
Farfegnugen.

actually Timmy displayed some Kung Fu Ninja Yoga Pilates skills at HPT in April. You might have missed it though as he was camoflauged as an ass-packer. :ass:
funny how packer and packee are so close yet so different!

yeah I was after a manual but with the price I got and service records (original owner blah blah) even if I have to rebuild the tranny I'm still ahead... already a member there! :thumb:

Nice!
You got and PD mods planned? Need tires or anything?
Would like to chip mine for a few extra MPG. But it would take a long time to get a return as it does so well as it is. No records with mine, but it came through two enthusiasts. Will probably have the timing belt done next year by a TDI guru in Madison.
tires are brand new (<500 miles)
no mods right off the bat, I will eventually. as much as I drive a chip would pay for itself pretty quickly I would think (I drive approx 4000-5000 per month)
I need to keep the budget tight with racing and buying the NSX... but I'll keep this car for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time (well alot of miles anyway)

Holy beans! She's gonna be shot in a year...LOL!
You're only gonna save $250 a month in fuel costs? What were you replacing, Timmah?
And VW means (https://www.ccsforum.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.purplemoon.com%2Fpatches%2Fimages%2FPfukengruven.jpg&hash=a5f7885f8f656d8d14a77dba11d166aaaf8344d2), right?
Acura TL, should be about 20mpg differnent give or take... mid low 20's vs mid low 40's for 90% highway
Premium vs Diesel in MO is comparable p/g
Did you find the money tree, Timmy? If so, can I get a small starter plant?
Nice VW, man. I have had a few dubs on my time. My favorite two were my 86 GTI, and my Corrado G60. Badass machines!
nah just restructuring... The gas savings will pay for Jetta each month, literally. and the payment on the NSX will be comparable to what I was paying on the TL. My monthly outgoing for vehicles including insurance will go up less then $100 :thumb:
That thing is begging for a 7" stack coming out of the hood :D
Which auto is it-the slush box or the DSG? I had an 06 GTI for a bit with the 2.0 and DSG-LOVED that car. I just couldn't stand destroying that car with all the driving I do for work. I have a beater Subaru now for work so I can run into stuff and play rally car driver in the snow and not care if I hit anything haha!
its got the DSG, pretty cool!
I plan on running this into the ground... i log 50-60k ish per year (last 2 years 52ish average)
Yeah the DSG is super sick! What are you doing these days? You drive more than me-I didn't think that was possible haha!
project manager for a home improvement company... its all within a 60 mile radius of st louis too...
