It has come to my attention that during the Expert Lightweight Superbike race on Saturday at Heartland Park Topeka I caused a crash in T1 of what I believe was the 2nd lap. I had heard some grumblings in the pits about my careless or should I say reckless riding that caused not only the red flag, but also an ambulance ride to the competitor I so blatantly took out.
In the future I will try not to ram the tail section of my motorcycle into the front of your machine at the apex or a corner. :wtf:
Hope youre ok Brian, and I hope you figure out what really happened.
On L2 (again, I THINK this is the point in the race we were... ) there was a train of 3-4 riders that came over Alpha and were rapidly closing on an AM F40 racer. we all checked up a bit to see where his line would be, and we were all wheel to wheel... right at the apex of T1 I got a bump on my right boot and tail section. My combined weight of 639lbs settled in time to stay on the leaders for T2. we got the red flag sometime around T8 as I recall.
dunno if that'll help with your memory at all, when i talked to you by the posted results you were really unsure as to what happened.

Tim, you should know better than to bust out your sweet backwards ninja moves going over alpha.
After Sundays race I have come to the conclusion that gridding the LW experts behind AM F40 and launching them both at the same time is not a good idea. We were into the Am's going into turn one.
Sorry to hear about this - it would sound like there was a bad logistical decision made in the grid design.
How were the LW grids? I am very peeved that I could not attend. Unfortunately, work obligations on top of a need to manage my domestic favors account resulted in an inability for me to make it to the HPT round this year. I missed being there!
Hope to see you all either at one of the BHF rounds, or at least at Road America (that date is already cemented into the calendar).
George
This may be a stupid question..... but, if you supposedly ass-packed someone, how did you come out of it with a scrape along right side of your tail section?
Exotic Ninja skills like Becka mentioned or have you learned some new Yoga moves from those classes you're taking that allows you to contort your bike into odd positions???
I think it was actually a conspiracy by Probst to weasel his way out of serving his Meatball!! :thumb:

ACTUALLY Burt... when I saw he jumped the start (twice) and took off in the 2nd of 3 wave's I figured w/ a stop and go penalty he would still be out front... but if there was a red flag, he would more than likely run out of gas before he could finish the race.
enter my new yoga flexibility and aforementioned ninja skills
Plan worked to perfection! 8)
George grids were between 6-10 all weekend in GTL, SB, GP, and TB with the largest being in GP... I was a little put off by the 3 wave start on sat of LWSB but I tell you what... it was MUCH better than the massive 2 waver that Becca won! Going over alpha into T1 with the entire LWSB grid intermingled with the F40 AM's by T2 was NUTS!! I felt like I was in AM MWSS all over again! :ahhh:
Congrats on your placing this weekend, Timmay! All done on a bike you had what- like 20 minutes to learn? You did quite well with your farm implement!
As for the "Alpha Incident" ....I thought you enjoyed being attacked from the rear????!!!! LMAO!

Because he was the PackEE not the PackER. You know, the catcher, not the pitcher!

+1 I really hope we don't do that again. While it was educational for us slow guys, it was frustrating, too. I can only imagine what it was like for some of you guys that got bottled up behind our slow asses.
yeah the first 4-5 corners were a little "dicey" for sure! the big hiccup was that once the LW guys/gal got around the AM's, the HP of the bigger bikes put them RIGHT back in the middle of us... made for a unique little dynamic.

thanks man! it was fun learning "on the fly" so to speak. its actually just like riding an SV in alot of ways. the throttle is still on the right and the clutch on the left. both have two wheels. Levers seem to do the same thing, for some reason it just doesnt wanna stop or shift??
as for the taking it in the rear... not even if its in a good "las vegas" kinda way :ahhh: :spank:
I was actually a little bothered when I heard the word on the street was that I caused the crash, of course then I had to laugh when Becca was "warned" about me :lmao: She does more punting then last year St. Louis Rams! :kicknuts:
love ya Bec

Obviously, I have no idea what you're talking about 8)
I am sweet and innocent and always a lady, especially on the track
Besides, it's not punting if you use your ninja tailsection yoga moves!
You should have heard her bragging about it in the garage later. Ruthless!!
i really wish the tornado would have drop'd down for race time......just imagine the photo ops :thumb:
Racenrub...... how'd your first weekend go?
I didn't get a chance to talk to you at Topeka.

It's all about the street cred.
Becka's Street Cred Song (sung to the tune 'Pants on the Ground')
Tail piece scuffed
Tail piece scuffed
Lookin' like a Ninja wid your tail piece scuffed
Wid your tail slidin' out
Wheel turned sideways
Tail took a hit
Call yo'self a cool cat
Lookin' like a fool
Walkin' down the pit wid your tail piece scuffed
Get it up, hey!
Get your knee off the ground
Lookin' like a fool
Walkin' talkin' wid your tail piece scuffed.
Get it up, hey!
Get your knee off the ground
Lookin' like a ninja wid your tail piece scuffed.
HA HA HA HA!! Love it, Becka's new re-race song!
