i was racing with you most of the heavyweight ss race on sunday. we got stuck behind the expert that kept speeding up every time we tried to pass, really screwed up our race.

Charlie Mavros an expert, there is a whole thing about him ...  he took out Sean Cassell when he was leading the AM race.  I really wish I had the video of how reckless he was riding on the track.

we were working on it but on a 848 and carnage on a 600 vs. a single digit expert on a 750 made it very difficult. it was annoying but its our job to get around him not him look back and wave us by. its all good tho, made for a good fight

I FINALLY figured out my camera after 3 race weekends. I have to wrap the vholdr in bubble wrap to keep the vibration from jarring the battery and loosing files.
I think this was the final race on Sunday..

Nice videos and riding gentlemen (low 1:40s).  Funny how the smoothness makes the speed seem ho hum.  I just wish I could have stayed long enough to have joined you.  I'm the dummy that crashed in T10 on Friday.

Here's my video of a slow poke falling down in practice on Friday.  Was going to be my first race weekend.  Sound is a little off at the end during the crash.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4-9V_mAydM

wow.. that is no place to have a crash, that is fast there. Looks like you got pretty far inside on that turn, there is a pretty big bump that will really unsettle the bike there. Wonder if that was what it was?

I don't think that I hit the bump that time.  I ran over it in one of the previous laps after completing a pass so that the other rider would have more room on the outside of the turn.  I always aim for the seam in the asphalt and try to back the throttle off to about 3/4.  This puts me coming out of the turn about 4 feet off the left side of the track and with a good drive.  It doesn't leave much room for someone who is trying to pass on the outside, though.  It is easier to catch others up the inside before 11.  I think that it was my aging Mich. V front tire that run out of grip because this lap and turn didn't seem any faster.

It looks like you definetly hit that bump and as some as you did it caused you to lose the front.  Note to self never ever hit that bump.

when you say "aging".. how many laps do you think you had on it? Please post a pic as well, i may be able to shed some light on a possible issue. Not for nothin.. but i ran 1 new V all weekend on the supersport bike. Put it on Sat. and ran 2 races Sat, practice on sunday, then 2 more ss. races on Sun.. running some 55-56 lap times on it. I have talked with some that have put 80 laps on that tire as well. Without debating the issue to much, it was more likely rider error rather than a short coming of the tire, although I we all will agree an old shagged out 10 heat cycled tire can contribute.

Thanks Melkman.  I need all the help that I can get.

Maybe I did catch the bump in T10.  I've ridden the track a number of times, so I know where it is at.  (//)I was trying split the seam that lies to the left of the bump and I was trying to keep up with the expert rider that passed me before T8 in the video.  Looking at the pics of the tire, it actually looks good.
