Does anyone know if the recent Daytona track problem will affect the upcoming CCS races?
I heard they had to stop one of the Crashcar races due to a sinkhole or something in the track surface. Anyone know exactly where the problem is on the track layout and if it will affect the CCS configuration?
Thanks in advance for any knowledge.
Not sure Marshall...but it looked really down on the low line from the pic I saw.
They could just put an orange cone on top of it! :ahhh:
Haha!! Grattan did that once when I was there.
And I'm sure it wasn't the first time either.
That's my low line!
Pothole was in t2 and isnt part of the bike layout.

Thanks for the info. Good news for us. I knew the BBS would come through with the goods.
according to one of my friends who is a team engineer, nascar came around the 2nd time and took every teams supply worth of bondo to fill the patch
Well a good thing is the scheduled repaving mid 2011 may be moved up if the nascar teams put alot of pressure on DIS. Current surface was laid in 1978.

Unfortunately the CCS racing will be on the traditional track layout. IE: using all 4 nascar turns, last page of: \. http://www.ccsracing.us/forms/2010/misc/2010%20spring%20mailer.pdf
what's the differance we race around every other patch and pot hole, that track has been junk for 10 yrs i am surprised it's taken this long for the left turners to complain.
