Has anyone ever heard of a Full Bore tire ? They are cheap just wondering if anyone ever used them or do you think they would be a crash waiting to happen?

How is their contingency and trackside support?
No, I am not going to race with them. Just wanted to know if anyone ever heard of them ?

Just run them at normal track pressures, and you'll be good... :err:

I hope no racers are seriously considering these.. Good write up in the article though. I LOVE the square rear tire, that has to be confidence inspiring as you lean (and the testers could feel it). The photo of the wadded up bike should be enough to keep most racers off em. This is NOT a race tire.. At least going by all the info in the article and even the maker calls it a track day tire (that may even be a bit of a stretch).
Not my words, but the conclusion of the article:( Chris, if you don't want the quote posted please let me know.. ill remove it.)

To quote from their website, "The M-3 Track Sport was designed for the rider wanting the ultimate in handling and performance. The M-3's are available in two compounds, soft and ultra soft. With its near slick design, this DOT approved tire will soon have a cult following at track days and become the tire of choice for drag racing. If a super sticky compound for the ultimate in traction is a top priority and longevity secondary, the ultra soft M-3 is the tire of choice."
We do not agree. As they are currently offered, Full Bore tires are not suitable for track day use. The square profile of their rear tire puts a lot of rubber on the ground when the bike is straight up or moderately leaned over. This, combined with the sticky M-3 compound, would make Full Bore an ideal choice as a street/strip tire for a hyper-sports bike like a Hayabusa or ZX14. Were we building a drag bike for the road, we wouldn't hesitate to use these tires. Unfortunately, we tried to use them on a road racing circuit. It will be interesting to see if the company builds a rear tire with a profile more suitable for track day use in the future. For now though, we would NOT recommend Full Bore tires for track day use. As it is, we're facing a full rebuild
a few years ago FLA resident cheap guy, mingo tried some thomahawks we gave him the thomahawk chop after he got off the chrash truck. i almost ran over his head in that race. so ended the odd brand tire experiment. now their talking about continental i think i'll wait till some AMA guys endorse them

LOL! I'll double that.
How much is your bike worth? Stick with the known quantities. It's a short list. A minor player isn't going to provide better traction, longer life, or more contingency money that helps you.

AMA guys? Pretty sure they'll be running Dunlops. Continental makes a really good race tire by the way...

and dustin, what did you do to get all of that hating on your karma?

Vosnick says he ran an1:18 at Jennings on the Continental. That isn't a bad lap time.
I got suckered into a set of Tomahawks by a local dealer on my street/track day 996. Well after one track day on them I went to Bridgestones and will never touch a Tomahawk tire again. The worked great the first session, but slid all over the place from then on! Stick with a name brand tire!
There was a sxet of Tomahawks on my old Gixxer when I bought it. I pulled the rims to get the tires changed, and they were like removing BRICKS. The sidewalls were literally stiff as a board. Glad I never raced on anything like those! B-stones for, please!
I think these Full Bores are along the same line as Shenkos....maybe worse?
