Title: Amateur vs. Expert
Post by: Devastator on April 09, 2003, 02:55:21 AM
If a racer is "junior expert" with LRRS, does that mean he/she will race "expert" with CCS? Or does CCS race them in the "amateur" class, until obtaining enough points to advance to their expert class?  Thanks.

I've heard Juniors at LRRS are Experts everywhere else.

What if someone used to be an expert, quit racing and now came back as an amateur?  We have one such case here in the SW region and he is doing very well.  I feel that once an expert, always an expert but not sure how the rules consider it.

Talk to the race referee in your region.  We had a few in the MW.  One I know for sure was talked to and made and expert because he was waxing the other amatuers - BAD!

Good advice Dawn.  The issue is addressed in section 2 of the rule book.
