Title: WVA
Post by: Ducmarc on January 03, 2010, 03:59:07 PM
i was reading the AHRMA this morning  and they have a motocross race in morgantown in july. i thought that would be fun. dust off the yz and play in the mountains, plus see some old Friends, then it says there is a road race through the streets under another sanction. what's up with that ridiculousness ? anybody going to race it?

That  sounds like a blast. Is it for vintage bikes only?

Marc, are you still broken or will you be racing next season?

I've done street races with AHRMA at Steamboat and Park City.  Almost did the AMA race in the streets of Miami that one year, but I smashed up the bike at Gateway.

Street course can be kind of scary.  Oil and coolant droppings are regular from cars.  So, there can be very slick spots.  Then it depends upon the course itself too.  You got a link, Marc?

Yes, but there is nothing stating that this part is an AHRMA event.  With two hours, this is a very, very limited event.

might try to ride some this year Devin. was thinking about riding the MX part but was curious about the roadrace  and did not find much on the net about it. sounds like one of those Caribbean grand prix races
