That's great!
So for NJMP are we to assume this is Lightning again? Or have you made the switch to Thunderbolt (hoping)?
July 10-11 at Roebling! :ahhh:
Not what I would have expected, but from a mid-atlantic perspective I think I like it.
Now if we just get any rules updates...
YES!! We have our July 4th Road America date back!!

Because safety plays second fiddle.
The Mid-Ohio AMA championship weekend is being run by WERA in 2010.
It will be held on July 12-14, Monday-Wednesday after the vintage weekend.

Yep - it's a bummer that it doesn't count for mid-west points again, and that it's not on a weekend, but it's meant to be a stand alone event, open to everyone.
Can a CCS official comment on NJMP, which track(s) are we riding?
Yeah, what he said :thumb:
Yeah what those guys said!
I'm guessing they don't know. I remember confusion this year almost all of the way up to the race week.
I am debating on WERA or CCS and Tbolt would lock me into CCS...just sayin. :-)
Yeah remove Gateway - no one is going there anyway! I'm thinking that the MW Series is Topeka- April 24-25, Sept.11-12 (not July 10-11), GTW June 12-13, RA and 4 BHF. Correct me if I'm wrong. It's going to be busy along with 5-6 CMRA endurance races. I was disapointed to not see MidO - great track and those AMA sticker look great on my really slow sv (alright I'm slowing it way down)....
The CCS schedule for NJMP for 2010 will be 2 T-Bolt and 2 Lightening. Hope this helps

Yeah, not planning on driving eight hours two times to gateway to race at a track that has a no passing zone to race one guy.

Look closer, lots of places to pass at gateway. And if your an expert, pick a class and ill be there to race you.
I agree- there are tons of places to make a pass at GIR. I like the tight configuration- very technical and fun. Much of the "it's a dangerous track" rhetoric stems from races held there years ago, where little to no Airfence was used. Our local club, MCRA, has changed that, and now there is more than adequate Airfences being used. Of both CCS events held there last year, I honestly cannot remember one transport. As the local hosts of CCS racing, we work very hard to put on a professional and safe weekend. I truly hope that folks who haven't been there do not choose to go, due to the way it used to be- and give the track a chance. Yes, there are walls, as can be found as the majority of tracks in the US, but I assure you- we have worked hard at eliminating those as risks.
Another thing is that there is an ever-growing contingency of new racers popping out of the St. Louis area in recent years....miss out on GIR, and you will be handing points off to alot of guys/gals who are willing to travel to your local tracks!    ...I hope one of the GIR weekends gets double points status. LOL
Anyways, best wishes and good intentions to all- just wanted to +1 Probst and show some brevity to a decent track.
Cheers,
Chris
Glad to see RRR back. I know last year at Barber was low. My guy didn't sell many tires. It's still a fun track. It does cost two small fortunes to run a race there though.
only one twin sprints weekend for MA......that blows. I definitely got to get me another bike to race.......
Hmmm... Do I see a "Great Mid-West" 4 track, region in the works?
Seems none of the dates overlap for these tracks as of today.
MW had 4 tracks (not counting Mid-O) and GP had 3 tracks last year with 3 tracks of each region is included in the other region.
Could this be the "New" Great Mid-West region?;
Blackhawk
Gateway
Heartland
Road America
Seems to me the schedule would work with 10 weekends, and only 2 back-to-back....
Apr 24-25 Heartland Park **
May 22-23 Blackhawk Farms
Jun 12-13 Gateway Int.
July 3-4 Rd America**
