Title: A good Mounted Camera
Post by: Prix on November 03, 2009, 11:39:42 AM
I have been looking at the Go Pro Wide Hero Camera for around 130.00, I really dont want to spend more then this is possible, I just dont want to spend more then 150.00 at the absolute most.  Thats about all I want to spend.  Is this a good camera or is there a better camera out there.  Here is a link to the camera Im looking at.  Im just worried about a suction cup holding a camera on at a place like Road America where the speeds are pretty quick.

I have a regular Mini DV camera that I mount but its a hand held tape one, but its just to big and gets in the way alittle, and battery shakes loose.

I have found that this camera is really good for the price. It comes with a suction cup mount and sticky mounts. I use the 3m sticky mounts personally. The quality isn't "crystal" clear but pretty damn good. It also as a setting for high/low wind noise. The other great thing is that it is in it's protective case that is waterproof.

Don't know about any other cams though...

I have a Go Pro I am wanting to sell.  PM me if interested. I could save you some bucks.  BTW- it's a kickass little camera- I am stepping up to a more devoted unit for the bike next year, and the Go Pro has served its purpose.

Already bought one off of ebay, got it for 139.99 for the motorsports model that is 199.99 on there site, so I got a decent deal.
