I was with Chris at FT Stewart in the 293rd and missed the deployment by the skin of my ass to be sent to FT Leonard Wood to train new MP's. I feel like an asshole for leaving and not making it to Afghanistan.
Sorry to hear of your buddy. I wonder if you know my cousin? Raoul Rodriguez. He is a Staff Sgt( I think!) and trained MP's @ FLW a while back. Hes seen three or four deployments to the current mess in the sand over there.
Sorry for your loss...
i'm sorry to hear this I had friends in the first gulf war but not this one . it seems these war's are making a lot of medals. a lot of bronze stars. i don't see a real end with afganistan being on the back burner so long. now we either need to pull out and let it colapse or put a bunch more in i don't see how we can hold such a large rugged country with such a small amount of men . it's not enough to fill a football stadium and now that we have dragged pakistan in we are really stuck.
RIP.
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. We should all keep our military personnel in our thoughts and prayers. I appreciate the sacrifices they make every day, so the rest us can enjoy the freedom we take for granted.
