so what opinions of this bike do people have, and what info, like when is it coming out and how much and will there be contigency
i think i want one
Brian: I thought the new BMW 1000RR would be more your style especially since you're selling German engineering anyway...
Joe Lee has an order on one...I'll find out the story....intrigues me as well......the question is who wrenches on it....TJ from Corse would prolly be able to.
ya the BMW looks interesting but BWM is the direct enemy of Audi and Audi runs threw my veins
Atta boy!! :thumb:
a link to Af1racing and the Aprilia Forum.... there are alot of good people with allthe Aprilia answers you could ever want....
as for the bike the last i heard was final price would be set at the end of october and bikes to follow...

I'm thinking M3 against the A4 Quatro - fair fight? Not sure the M comes in all-wheel though...
Will there be contingency?
Well, first, what would be the target market of such a machine? Probably going to be pretty exclusive, price wise. So, it might follow that they are looking for some bigger profile opportunities. American Superbike seems logical, and it would be required if they were submit it for homologation.
Historically, they haven't had the sales numbers to have a lot of regular contingency. They made a splash in the cycle place by offering contigency on it's non streetable RS250. But regular opportunities from them, Ducati, Triumph...been very light. The others have higher global sales, additional profits from other products that can finance a contingency program.

Nope, I lost out on the MX track in the back yard... but the new house has enough room for a small fiddy track... if I can talk the wife into it
No problem, the new house has lots of room for guests and plenty of parking for a pit stop.
Aprilia USA dealer meeting is this weekend. They are supposed to call me Monday from the meeting, when they get the details. The factory version will be out first, later this month/november. The R version out next year.
Doubt there will be any contingency program, given the state of the economy, and Aprilia/Piaggio being such a small company.
You have one on order though right Joe?? Secondly...can I ride the Desmo at barber????????????????/ :thumb:
Yes. Just waiting on the info. Would love to have it before Barber so I can take it down. So Johnny, you can either ride the RSV4 or Desmo....depending what I hear on Monday.
Now yer talkin'....I shall then supply the Choeffe AND will pick somre the blue spice bottles that you like!!
