Title: PBIR Oct. 4 Am. HWSB
Post by: DEVINC on October 05, 2009, 09:26:03 AM
Anyone in that race, sorry for standing the back wheel up and having to run off into the cones of turn 1 on the start. I was on the inside and got cut off in a bad spot going into t1 and stabbed the brakes a little too hard.  :banghead: Overall it was my fault though. Im glad nobody tboned me and I wasn't the cause of anybody falling down.

I saw you coming in to turn 1 out of the corner of my eye a little to hot. I checked up. Glad you or nobody went down. That could have been a nasty crash.

Ya I was way too hot. I wanted to stay with that front group bad since I started from the last row of the grid. Now I know how bad it is to try to take T1 with that speed/line. I will say, i do not like T1.  I'm glad you didn't get caught up in anything bad.

I think like third to last is what i finished... thanks to my T1 trick. I haven't looked at the results yet as I was not too thrilled to find out. There was another guy that I was battling with for that position. I think his bike was orange maybe? He was pretty good on the brakes at the end of the back straight. I got him good there on one lap but then the next one he got me better in the same spot but the next lap he had to pick it up and run off in that spot due to too late braking (i'm assuming). At least there was somebody to run with after my screw up and I wasn't alone the whole time.

wow. Now I see how bad it seemed. I realize my mistake. Too fast (for me right now) for as close to the inside as I was. I won't do that again. Thanks for posting the vid. It helped really see my mistake.

Once again, I'm glad that silly move didn't affect anyone else.

See you in Homestead too.

BTW, I thought I amateurly stabbed the front brake too hard in that vid. But did anyone see the crash page in RRW for November?

Damn.
