Title: TRASH Left at PBIR! Attn: Henry!
Post by: F2RGK on October 04, 2009, 11:44:37 PM
Henry,

I know it's not your responsibility here to clean up after people, but at the next race, can you mention to people, not to leave their trash all over the parking lot at PBIR!  We had water bottles laying everywhere, beer bottles laying in front of my trailer, chicken wings, napkins, an empty VP Fuel container, broken arms to canopies, miscellaneous parts from bikes that were damaged, etc. etc.  The worst part of it is when you pick this stuff up and throw it away, you notice the garbage cans weren't full.  In other words, PBIR did a good job in emptying the cans and the "Where it Lays, is Where it Stays" attitude won't work.  I'd hate to see us get kicked out of a nice track like that if we get  a bad rap for littering!

Sounds like a topic for the riders meeting. The Florida guys are pretty good about that stuff and I personally try to police my area and the adjoining areas to make it good for us all. Oh yeah, take your old tires with you too

Yeah I agree with you on this one, I was packing my stuff up and the next time I turned around the trash can infront of me had a canopy shoved in it and bunch of VP gas cans laying around all over the place, maybe a tire or two, soda cans, etc... I took time before I left to pick up all the trash from everyone around me. I've always used leave the place that you are visiting the same way you found it or better. This just should be a common sense thing.

we are aware of it. Alot was left behind from a few out of stater's. Tire's and a 55 gal drum of VP fuel from one that was pitted near tech. It will be brought up at next race.

I don't know if you guys realize but if you keep your VP cans when you refill it will be a little cheaper than buying a new can each time.

That's me, low budget racing.

If i used VP fuel, you know for sure I would be all over that! But for now I use high grade pump gas.

Devin it is the way to go using pump gas. Lots cheaper and my FZR600 loves it. I now must run something with higher octane in the Ducati 800 mainly due to high comp pistons or the dreaded knock. Those pistons are expensive where in the twin two pistons cost almost twice as much as the four pistons in the FZR.

Stick with stuff that makes the bike safer and you can never go wrong.
