For myself, and I'm sure for the rest of the MCRA staff and crew, I want to thank everyone that came out for our trackday and races this weekend. We had one of our best trackdays ever and a good race day, even considering that we were competing with other CCS races at Barber this weekend. The the track day had more red flags and ambulance calls than we would have liked, but that can be worked on. It's better to crash at the track and learn from your mistakes here than on the backroads. Remember guys and gals, it's a TRACK DAY, not a race. You cant get first place!
The races Sunday went off almost flawlessly, with one red flag, but no major injuries. For having smallish grids for many of the races, there was some pretty fierce racing in the middleweight events. I believe that Brian Hall even set another track record at 1:05.033!! (Don't quote me yet, I still need to confirm this) We even missed the heavy rains by 30 minutes! I hope everyone appreciated the extra sections of air fence that we had on hand, as part of our continuing efforts to improve the safety of what many consider to be a "dangerous" track.
As always, the MCRA is here to promote the sport and provide a safe environment for those of us stricken with this two wheeled addiction. We are run by volunteers like you who want to hear from you about what you think needs to be done to improve our trackdays and race events. Obviously, we cant do everything that is asked of us, but we cant try to improve if you don't tell us that something needs to be worked on.
Once again, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
See you at our track day in October!
I believe that was Matt Hall...

On a side note- thank you for the most excellent announcing/race coverage!!!!!!!
You're welcome. Proud to be part of it, and I'm having the time of my life doing it. Thanks for the compliment!
Besides, it's a joy working with the MCRA crew. St. Louis has a real treasure in that organization.

It's easy to take home wood when your biggest grid only has 3 people in it!
LOL- True, true!
