Post by: F2RGK on August 15, 2009, 02:29:38 PM
Does anyone know if you can purchase race fuel at Palm Beach Int'l Raceway?  AKA Moroso?

Thanks Big RoNny!!

Yes. Call Prieto to get whatever pale you want or there is pump gas. Some other vendors are there at times.

Thankyou for that advice.  Prieto doesn't even carry spark plugs, why should I count on them for fuel?  Are they the only source for parts etc. in Florida?  I'm not trying to step on toes here, but if you're going to claim that you offer parts at tracks, then you need to atleast carry spark plugs for all years and makes!  Just venting an experience I had and that felt I was blown off.

Nothing wrong with venting your distress, I was only trying to give info. There are many vendors there beyond Prieto but I do know that they have been the VP vendor. I saw some other vendors peddling the VP fuels also.

I can always get a pail for you when I get mine but it is gonna cost ya and I don't take contingency.

Ron, did you find out anything or ask about the 4.2 yet? Maybe your problem rarely happens for some weird reason. I dunno.

What year bike  did you need spark plug for? He carrys alot of common parts usally needed for a race day but not everything.I always make sure i am 100% prepared for the race weekend before i get there. And if i need something i call him and  ask if he can get what i need to the track for me....cause i no he doesnt carry everything, no vendor does.Sean stays pretty busy at the track prepping bikes and racing...sure it wasnt personal.

Sean has a way off comming off rude at times and his prices are not what I would even call good.... what happened to the days when you could get stuff cheaper at the track than any where else?

nobody should think he will have every thing for every bike all the time but he has let me down more times than helped.

to the OP VP has a trailer all the way in the back by the drag strip at PBIR

Thanks for the advice my friends; I think I see an opportunity for more business.  Spark plugs are common, it's not like I was asking for a Speedo guage or fairing stay.  Anyway, I'll get some fuel at the track then...good info and I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought the the same way I felt, maybe just got him on a bad day....Heaven knows I've had plenty of those.

Devin, in answer to your question, I had to FEED the BEAST (bigger jetting), clean out nasty U4.2 fuel, sync my carbs, and tune'em in!!  I'll be ready this weekend!  Oh yeah, remember those numbers, I did it!!!!
