Obviously i would paint it yellow but is the placement and spacing of the numbers ok?
With a yellow background behind all the numbers (and some blank yellow spacing around the outside edge) it should work.
What tracks are you going to race at?
florida region
i just dont wanna get to tech for the first time and they say negative
Some Techs (Larry)...
Will request that the numbers are all at the same angle.

thats the little things i was wondering about...
anybody know about the fla region if the techs would be so harsh???
Florida region tech is not extremely harsh but it depends on the individual. If you can read it easily they will let you go even if it isn't to the letter of the law. Same size, same direction is what they typically ask for. Doing it in a chevron such as you do makes it a little more difficult to read at speed. The front is usually used at start/finish and the sides and rear by the corner workers, or so is my impression.
Larry does Tech at Daytona...
I'm just saying....

i see... makes sense might have to go with smaller numbers cramped up more.
That's what I did and I have a two digit that helps. I also have numbers on the sides going ole'skool.
their not henry needs your money as long as there is a boarder around the numbers your plugs and filter are safety wired and your helmet is legal you will be allright. their good people. they have fussed at me before and it's nothing personal we all had fun at the game you will have plenty of time to fix any problems daytona seems to be a mix of fla and southeast. somewhat impersonable.
My tail #plate isn't the size they specify, but it fits all the other parameters, think they'll let it slide?
can you read it from about 40 feet away? If you can you have a legitimate argument.
Mark
Sure can, thanks mark
I've noticed that in the Florida region at least, they have gotten easier on the enforcement of number plate regulations since we went to electronic scoring this year.
By the way, welcome to the club!
thanks guys. for the input and welcoming. i ended up putting smaller numbers anyway. everything should work out fine.
Cool. See you on the 22nd
:thumb:
Devin, that is not acceptable!!! You're supposed to use PINK Numbers!!! LMAO!!!
actually i checked and they said that the flourescent clear numbers would work fine so i think i'll use those
As long as it is flourescent black with a yellow background.

Very Funny! Ya going this weekend or what? C'mopn now...what do I have to do, bribe with you woth free bike lessons and beer?
now that you mention it... haha. i will be there for sunday only. so save a spot. im pissed off though because i cant find my mini air compressor! so i will have to use your air tank. :thumb:
see ya there
Rulebook says 4" or 6" on tail, and 8" in front.
On an 05 gsxr, DEVINC's placement would work pretty well on it, I think.
Did you have any trouble with it in the FLorida region?
Also, could you do smaller than 8" in the front, or will they gripe about it?
Also, if I decided to run it slanted on one side, the rulebook says to the side of the tower, or something like that.
Homestead and PBIR, and POSSIBLY the Jennings round, but not likely.
Thanks
I ended up putting some smaller numbers (I don't know what size) pretty much all on the middle of the windshield. I don't know if the picture on this thread would actually work. I am pretty sure that my front numbers are not 8".
The R6 is tough. I had big numbers on the front and it was obscured by the angles. It was easier to read with the small ones so I went with this
