Congratulations on an outstanding race!
I was the last guy you passed, #902 / Spyke leathers, and I tried, in vain, to follow your lines and stay close.
Your video is now on my desktop as a teaching tool as I'd never seen myself racing in video and I now see a couple of things I REALLY need to work on as far as body posture! I sure thought I moved around better on the bike than the video shows and I've got to get those size 13 boots up on the pegs all the time!!
Thanks again for posting and best of luck the rest of the year!

No problem. I will post every race that I can, I video everything on the track. It was a lot of fun racing you.
Thanks! Best of luck to you as well.
Ralph, can you shed some light on the crash? Not real sure how it happened.
Wow, was that a scary few seconds, at least for me! I think #213 tucked the front right in front of me and I'm not sure but I think I ran over him or some part of his bike. Ironically he helped me pull my bike out of the weeds but I never caught his name. http://www.gron4.com/2009/072609/amt/902/
I know that that somehow there was a third bike involved with a hurt rider aboard which brought out the ambulance but I didn't know his name either. The corner worker told me he hurt his back but got into the ambulance under his own power.
Believe me my heart is pounding just typing this and I truely hope both those guys are alright!!

I am that third rider.
All I really remember is the 213 bike being down in front of me and I had no where to go but straight into his lower fairing. I have bad contusions all over my front and back as well as my leg that was trapped under my bike for a while. My ribs and collarbones are loose, and they pop and click when I breathe. My chest flattened my tank. Nonetheless, I am relatively ok. Just a lot of pain.
I understand how you feel, having been busted up myself last year. All I can say is I'm glad you're on the mend and thank God because it could have ended so much worse.
I hope to see you back out there before the season ends.
You will, definitely! :)
