According to various press releases, a Racer and Corner Worker were killed at Barber today (5/22/09) during a practice day prior to the WERA regional race this weekend.

wow. that's really frightening. Not to point at anyone, but what the hell is the corner worker doing out on the track when the bikes are at full speed? One can only assume it was a blind turn or over a crest of a hill?
