Title: unlimited gp
Post by: ahastings on May 08, 2009, 07:17:25 PM
for the last few years the CCS Unlimited GP race on combined CCS/ASRA weekends has been trophy only. Does anyone know if that is changed this year? I noticed it doesn't say trophy dash on the schedule and I got charged $80 on my preentry, just wanted to make sure I didn't get overcharged on my preentry.

I could have sworn last year I raced a combined weekend and got a check, maybe you didn't fill out your contingency forms properly.

I was told in tech at HPT that I would get paid for it. The only reason I asked is because there was only four entries, talk about easy money. Still haven't received a check though so maybe I'm wrong.

As far as I know, Unlimited GP doesn't pay out any longer - trophy only.

If that's the case I'm no longer racing that class.  CCS needs more purse events.

I thought there was a pay out this year, but the payout was stepped based on the number of entries.

They paid last year, so it would have to be an 09 change if they don't payout anymore.

BTW, you have to pick up your check at the end of the race, if you don't it gets donated to the red flag fund or something else (red flag is closed now right?).

they did not pay unlimited gp for the last several years on asra weekends I know that for a fact. I know the contingency process been doing this for a while. the checks are mailed now which started last season. The difference is when it is a purse paying class the entry fee is $80 and it does not count as your first entry, when it is a nonpurse it is priced with the rest of the sprints.

Unlimited GP pays a purse for all races run out of FtW office, be it a regional CCS event, Twin Sprint or ASRA weekend it pays for each and every Unlimited GP race and price is $80

payout amounts are tiered full details are in the renewal mailer

This is a change for 2009
