just wondering if any one is going to summit point memorial day weekend
Just a few of us. I think it's actually the most attended round of the year for the Mid-Atlantic region.
Gonna try to. It was PACKED when I was there last year. Seriously, people were pitting in the woods and stuff. Big names were there and all. It is a national event too, no?
Wouldn't miss it! Stop by and say howdy. Can't miss our old rig with the Continental lettering on it. I will be fully stocked with Conti tires if anyone would like to give em a try. We had an incredible weekend on them at CMP.
Fellow newbie going to be there also. It going to be my second race weekend and can't wait.
i'm really looking forward to it as well
we'll be pitting near the pirelli truck
be sure to swing by and visit with the combat-wounded vets we will be hosting in the first of 3 hospitality events for 2009
on sunday the 24th, we'll have 25 guys from walter reed's wounded warrior program there to get them the hell out of the hospital for a day
look for the fisher house flag and stop on by....
it feels so good to be racing again
winter sucks!
Headed up from good ol Daytona, heck of a ride, but it will be a big event and great chance to catch up with everyone, and believe me, with my lap times, I really have to "catch up" with everyone.
Hey Art! Had a blast at Carolina, great to see you and half the family! Looking foward to getting everyone together at Summit. Just gotta get Farmer off the Combine, Endzel out of the shower, and Mr. Bob away from the pros. Pack light, we should be able to cover everything you need minus the bike, and the credit card. Take care man, anything you need give us a call!
I'm putting on my now famous routine at the Japanese Steakhouse!!!!

#420 expert. We always hang out with the CSBR crew. Art (Chaplain 220) will be there with his red, white and blue canopy. Stop in and say howdy!
This is Mike Endzel, #211 Amateur. I'll be near Art also!!! The Japanese Steakhouse is next to the race track, and I took over as the chef for our table (briefly) last year. I've been honing my skills and this year should be spectacular!!!! :D Hopefully I won't break an egg on the normal chef like last year....
Jordan, I'll be there for Saturday practice too; I need to get as much track time as possible to try and hang with the front runners this year!! Farmer has yet to decide if he's racing, but I'm in the heavyweight stuff too, so mount up!!!
Dale, Joe, Craig, John, Art: one of you guys remember not to let me out with 46 psi in my rear tire!!! Turn 5 has been calling to me in my dreams...

Sorry, I meant MIke Endzel. Who would've thought there was another man named MIKE on this board? I thought Endzel and I were the only ones! Anyway, new Mike, Hope to see you there, I'll be doing the practice day as well!
Endzel, I got one better for ya. I had new tires put on right before the Solo Challenge at Carolina. Tire dude told me 3 times to set the pressure. Did I set the pressure? Of course not! Rolled right out and forgot about it. Ran the whole race on 40 psi front and rear. And here I was ready to run the bike into the woods cause it was handling like crap. I didn't even realize it until I came in and was talking to Greg who ran the team challenge who had the same issue and came in on lap two to make adjustments. So how bout we look out for each other at Summit?
PERFECT!! You have experience putting fires out too, right??? I'm good for one of those a season too!
we will hopefully see each other there only 1 more month we are usally by the perilli guy
Is MARRC or CCS holding the Saturday practice?
MARRC School is in effect! Bring your unlicensed pals !

Is MARRC or CCS holding the Saturday practice?
MARRC has a practice on fri and CCS has a practice on Sat.
The RnR Repsol crew will be there in our usual spot.
Ok, I can't find it anywhere, I know there is a practice day Saturday. Is is hosted by CCS or MARRC? And is it $100? And I have a friend interested in the racer school that weekend, I'm assuming this will be held on Saturday as well? Thanks for the info!

Friday is MARRC trackday for licensed racers http://www.marrc.org/html_docs/news09/2009_Track_Day.html Saturday is CCS Practice day & MARRC Race School. To sign up for the MARRC race school http://www.dawngreer.com/marrc/rrs/ to sign up for the Practice day register through CCS.
I am new to racing and am hopeful to be racing in this event. (My first time racing) I am a local guy, only 15 minutes from the track. #52 Amateur.
So the MARRC trackday is Friday. They have a school scheduled for Saturday. So is CCS hosting a trackday Saturday along with the school? Sorry I'm a bit confused. I didn't understand why MARRC would have a trackday on Friday without the school, then have just a racing school on Saturday. Their website has a school scheduled on May 23, which is a Saturday.
The MAARC school goes out with the ccs people but it depends what bike you have to determine where and when you will go out. Also there shouldnt be as much people there this year as last year because no usgpru
i will be there :D

MARRC has the trackday on Friday for licensed racers only with no race school. Saturady the Practice day is through CCS with MARRC doing the road race school. So you are correct. Friday there is no road race school. The road race school is on Saturady. The websites are correct May 23rd is the race school.
Still confused?
Very good thank you for clearing that up. Any idea how much the Saturday CCS practice costs?

Jordan,
Friday = MARRC Practice day $130.00 for MARRC Members (like me!)
Saturday = CCS Racer Practice $100.00
I'll be there saturday.
the practice is 100 for saturday 1 race cost 80 any more after 55 all asra races are 100 25 Days!!!!!!!! cant come any sooner
Ok, so after all that, my initial thinking was correct. So I guess I will be out there Saturday with ya Vidal!
When is everyone leaving on friday or saturday because when we got there on saturday last time there was like no spots open but i don t think it wil be as bad because usgpru isnt going to be there
Unfortunately I'm leaving Saturday at 1:00AM because my band is playing a show....
Jordan, when are you leaving???
i like leaving late because no one is on the road we are proally leaving around 10am friday because of traffic in new york is nightmarish. what are you a cover band or do you make up your own stuff
i sent you an email vidal. It's still an ASRA weekend so it will probably still be packed. I'm not sure, but I don't think gates open until 530 Friday evening for CCS participants according to the schedule. I remember in 07 sitting at the gate til 530 cause they wouldnt let us through. Thats the only way I got pit area choice though, cause it filled up quick. Mr. New York, earlier the better for you man. I'm only 2 hours out. Your not a New York Rangers fan are you? Caps smoked em last night!
no i am an islander fan but dont even get me started cuz they suck and will proally draft the worst player in the draft and not the best one. its road racing and baseball that does it for me go yankees
Just sent CCS money yesterday for my license renewal. I'm planning to be there, but am definitely post entering because of work. Eveyone needs to ask the preacher if he is definitely coming cause me thinks he's considering backing out. By the way, it's okay to rag on this particular preacher.

does anybody know what shape the track is in
I understand why Art doesn't wanna come. Art, you still up in arms about the "Man in the Black Hat"/Banana incident? Look, I told you I wouldn't post it. However, this will require your presence at Summit Point Memorial Weekend. Everyone else on the team will be there, and you wanna be the outkast!!??? Just cause you live in sunny Florida doesn't make you special! Even though we would all like to be joining you right now, it hasn't stopped raining for like 4 days! Anyway, if Farmer comes, you gotta be there. By the way farmer, your behind these intermittent downpours aren't you? It's always about your crops!

Right now it's got good grip! Some of the same problems from last year are still present and T9 now has a huge hole on the inside of the turn. If it rains at all during the 3 days good luck!
the weather is usally good that weekend and it should be this time also some of the wera guys who were fast where running 1 22's which is mad slow so that i why i brought up this question you should be running 1 15 on a club and maybe a 1 13 on a national to be contending for the win

I have an 07 r6, and I was running 2 up for the rear. It worked pretty well, but I'm going to try 1 up in the rear and see how it works out.
I will re-enter the sport at NJMP, in July, for a trackday only, to check out the new shoulder. But everyone loves summit- I have missed those weekends....WORK is too busy to plan much else, also.
