Title: Suzuki contingency question
Post by: Rich on April 03, 2009, 09:40:06 AM
On their website, Suzuki states that "Contingency will be paid to the Warranty Registered owner".

Does that mean that you can no longer buy a salvaged bike and qualify for Suzuki money?

I was wondering the same thing, and asked that over on the wera board. Several people over there said it won't be a problem. Unfortunatelly Suzuki still doesnt have the online registration even set up yet

Just go to your Suzuki dealer and have them register the VIN of your salvage bike in your name.  That's what I did, and I had no problems getting paid from Suzuki...other than they take a long time.

Wouldn't the VIN already be registered to the original owner?

That why you go to the dealer, they transfer it.
